TL;DR: Crystal structures of low- and high-temperature modifications of the binary phase Li(2)Zn(3) were determined by single-crystal X-ray diffraction techniques according to electronic structure calculations using the tight-binding-linear muffin-tin orbital-atomic spheres approximations (TB-LMTO-ASA) method.
Abstract: Crystal structures of low- and high-temperature modifications of the binary phase Li2Zn3 were determined by single-crystal X-ray diffraction techniques. The low-temperature modification is a disordered variant of Li5Sn2, space group R\bar 3m (No. 166). The high-temperature modification crystallizes as an anti-type to Li5Ga4, space group P\bar 3m1 (No. 164). Two polymorphs can be described as derivative structures to binary Li5Ga4, Li5Sn2, Li13Sn5, Li8Pb3, CeCd2 and CdI2 phases which belong to class 2 with the parent W-type in Krypyakevich's classification. All atoms in both polymorphs are coordinated by rhombic dodecahedra (coordination number CN = 14) like atoms in related structures. The Li2Zn2.76 (for the low-temperature phase) and Li2Zn2.82 (for the high-temperature phase) compositions were obtained after structure refinements. According to electronic structure calculations using the tight-binding–linear muffin-tin orbital–atomic spheres approximations (TB–LMTO–ASA) method, strong covalent Sn—Sn and Ga—Ga interactions were established in Li5Sn2 and Li5Ga4, but no similar Zn—Zn interactions were observed in Li2Zn3.

TL;DR: In this paper, the mediating role of job-related negative affectivity and the moderation role of emotional suppression in the relationship between workplace aggression and counterproductive work behaviour (CWB) was investigated.
Abstract: The theoretical framework of the study was the Stressors-Emotions model (Spector et al., 2005). The aim of the study was to investigate the mediating role of job-related negative affectivity, and the moderating role of emotional suppression in the relationship between workplace aggression and counterproductive work behaviour (CWB). It was expected that workplace aggression would be linked to CWB directly and indirectly (through increase of job-related negative affectivity) and that suppression of negative emotions would intensify the effects of workplace aggression. Two hundred and five nurses participated in the study. The regression analysis with interactional effect was applied to test the research hypotheses. The results confirmed the direct and the indirect effect of workplace aggression on CWB. Two of the three analyzed emotions (anger and anxiety but not unhappiness) moderated the effects of workplace aggression on jobrelated negative affectivity and CWB. Results of the study partially support the notion of the Stress-Emotion model and provide further insight into processes that lead to CWB.

TL;DR: A new approach to verification of timed security protocols is given, modelling a finite number of users of the computer network and their knowledge about secrets by timed automata.
Abstract: A new approach to verification of timed security protocols is given. The idea consists in modelling a finite number of users (including an intruder) of the computer network and their knowledge about secrets by timed automata. The runs of the product automaton of the above automata correspond to all the behaviours of the protocol for a fixed number of sessions. Verification is performed using the module BMC of the tool VerICS.

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors investigated the impact of taekwon-do training on the development of different social skills and found that the feeling of personal competence in the researched group is higher in the case of men than women that can be interpreted based on cultural and biological conditions.
Abstract: Background. Social skills contribute to the proper functioning of an individual in the social environment. Not only in the case of people’s cooperation, but also when we consider competing. The programmes, supporting the development of the models of human behaviour, are still being searched. That is why, the aim of the research is the knowledge concerning the impact of taekwon-do training on the development of different social skills. Method. The research covered 31 people practising taekwon-do, 17 men and 14 women (age:18.83±3.49 years old; range: 16-28 years old) in ITF taekwon-do clubs. The measurement was performed with the use of the Personal Competence Scale (of the results ranging between 12 and 48) and with the use of a self-made questionnaire. In the conducted research, for all registered indexes, the median (SR), variance (SS) and standard deviation (SD) were indicated. The correlation between the selected indexes was indicated. The variance analysis ANOVA was conducted. The statistical validity was assumed at the level of p<0.05. Results. The following indexes were registered: the average value of the subjectively assessed increase of self-esteem in the situation of social exposure: women 6.00±2.60 (level 1-10), men 8,94±1.14 (level 1-10); the average degree of satisfaction with social contacts, based on sharing sport interests: men 8.76±0.75 (level 1-10), women 8.64±.0.74 (level 1-10); value of the index of the feeling of personal competence at men 36.35±7.04 (level 12-48); women 31.86 ±8.47 (level 12-48). Conclusion. In the whole group, the increase of self-esteem in the situation of social exposure was revealedhigher in the case of men than women. The level of satisfaction, due to the increase of social contacts based on sharing sport interests at women and men, did not differ. The feeling of personal competence in the researched group is higher in the case of men than women that can be interpreted based on cultural and biological conditions. Taekwon-do competitors indicate the effects that facilitate functioning in the social life, that result from practicing martial arts. © Idōkan Poland Association “IDO MOVEMENT FOR CULTURE.
