TL;DR: The first measurement of the momentum distribution for one-neutron removal from (24)O at 920A MeV performed at GSI, Darmstadt is reported, confirming earlier suggestions that ( 24)O is a new doubly magic nucleus.
Abstract: The first measurement of the momentum distribution for one-neutron removal from O-24 at 920A MeV performed at GSI, Darmstadt is reported. The observed distribution has a width (FWHM) of 99 +/- 4 MeV/c in the projectile rest frame and a one-neutron removal cross section of 63 +/- 7 mb. The results are well explained with a nearly pure 2s(1/2) neutron spectroscopic factor of 1.74 +/- 0.19 within the eikonal model. This large s-wave probability shows a spherical shell closure thereby confirming earlier suggestions that O-24 is a new doubly magic nucleus.

TL;DR: The authors derived a forward-looking rational expectations house price model and empirically tested its ability to explain short-run fluctuations in real house prices in Vancouver, British Columbia from 1979 to 1991.
Abstract: This paper derives a forward-looking rational expectations house price model and empirically tests its ability to explain short-run fluctuations in real house prices. A novel approach to proxying the imputed rents of owner-occupied housing, as a function of observable housing market fundamentals, is combined with a housing market arbitrage relation to derive a present value model for real house prices. Tests of the rational expectations, nonlinear cross-equation restrictions reject the joint null hypothesis of rational expectations and the asset-based housing price model for quarterly, single-detached house prices in the city of Vancouver, British Columbia from 1979–1991. The model fails to fully capture observed house price dynamics in two real estate booms but tracks real house prices well in less volatile times, suggesting that prices may temporarily deviate from fundamental values in real estate price cycles.

TL;DR: In this paper, a 100 ks XMM-Newton observations of the Seyfert 1 Galaxy 1H 0707−495 were carried out using the X-Ray Telescope on the Swift satellite.
Abstract: The narrow-line Seyfert 1 Galaxy 1H 0707−495 went into a low state from 2010 December to 2011 February, discovered by a monitoring campaign using the X-Ray Telescope on the Swift satellite. We triggered a 100 ks XMM-Newton observation of the source in 2011 January, revealing the source to have dropped by a factor of 10 in the soft band, below 1 keV, and a factor of 2 at 5 keV, compared with a long observation in 2008. The sharp spectral drop in the source usually seen around 7 keV now extends to lower energies, below 6 keV in our frame. The 2011 spectrum is well fitted by a relativistically blurred reflection spectrum similar to that which fits the 2008 data, except that the emission is now concentrated solely to the central part of the accretion disc. The irradiating source must lie within 1 gravitational radius of the event horizon of the black hole, which spins rapidly. Alternative models are briefly considered, but none has any simple physical interpretation.

TL;DR: A mathematical model for cyclic and non-cyclic scheduling of 12 h shift nurses using a concept called a stint, which is a pattern characterized by a start date, a length, a `cost' and the shifts worked, is presented.
