TL;DR: Transgender participants had higher levels of recalled childhood gender nonconformity age’s< 11 years and current socially assigned gender non Conformity and were more likely to have ever identified as not completely heterosexual and no problems with item comprehension were found for cisgender or gender minority participants.
Abstract: A barrier to monitoring the health of gender minority (transgender) populations is the lack of brief, validated tools with which to identify participants in surveillance systems. We used the Growing Up Today Study (GUTS), a prospective cohort study of U.S. young adults (mean age = 20.7 years in 2005), to assess the validity of self-report measures and implement a two-step method to measure gender minority status (step 1: assigned sex at birth, step 2: current gender identity). A mixed-methods study was conducted in 2013. Construct validity was evaluated in secondary data analysis of the 2010 wave (n = 7,831). Cognitive testing interviews of close-ended measures were conducted with a subsample of participants (n = 39). Compared to cisgender (non-transgender) participants, transgender participants had higher levels of recalled childhood gender nonconformity age < 11 years and current socially assigned gender nonconformity and were more likely to have ever identified as not completely heterosexual (p < 0.001). No problems with item comprehension were found for cisgender or gender minority participants. Assigned sex at birth was interpreted as sex designated on a birth certificate; transgender was understood to be a difference between a person’s natal sex and gender identity. Participants were correctly classified as male, female, or transgender. The survey items performed well in this sample and are recommended for further evaluation in languages other than English and with diverse samples in terms of age, race/ethnicity, and socioeconomic status.

TL;DR: In this paper, a study comparing the career development models of Levinson et al. (1978) and Super (1957) was conducted, and support was found for both models.
Abstract: Using survey data collected from 535 salespeople, a study comparing the career development models of Levinson el at. (1978) and Super (1957) was conducted. Support was found for both models. The Levinson et al. model is more closely related to individuals' career decisions, while the Supermodel is more closely related to individual's job attitudes. Implications and future directions are proposed.

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors examined the production planning and control function of a remanufacturing firm in this environment and evaluated the research in the various decision-making areas that comprise the planning and controlling function.
Abstract: Remanufacturing is rapidly emerging as an important form of waste prevention and environmentally conscious manufacturing. Firms are discovering it to be a profitable approach while at the same time enhancing their image as environmentally responsible, for a wide range of products. In this paper the characteristics of the remanufacturing environment are discussed first to distinguish this environment from other manufacturing environments. The production planning and control function of the remanufacturing firm is examined in this environment. The research in the various decision-making areas that comprise the production planning and control function is evaluated. There are many areas where the research is still scant. The lack of any overall integrated framework and models for the production planning and control function is noted. It is also pointed out that most firms are still grappling with these problems and do not have any formal mechanisms in place. There is a need to develop models and frameworks grounded in the problems and needs of these remanufacturing firms.

TL;DR: The accumulation from sea water of 65 Zn, 54 Mn, 59 Fe and 58 Co by the mussel, Mytilus edulis, has been studied in relation to the stable element levels of these isotopes both in the sea water and in individual tissues.
Abstract: The accumulation from sea water of 65Zn, 54Mn, 59Fe and 58Co by the mussel, Mytilus edulis, has been studied in relation to the stable element levels of these isotopes both in the sea water and in individual tissues. For all four radionuclides the greatest accumulation occurred in the stomach and digestive gland samples and further localization of 65Zn and 69Fe was demonstrated by autoradiography. As the animals were starved during the accumulation period the loss of stable elements by individual tissues was also followed. Again the most notable effect occurred in the digestive gland tissues with the exception of a large loss of iron by the foot. Autoradiography showed that after two weeks accumulation 59Fe occurs in large clusters in the foot, notable in the byssus gland area. These clusters disappear after a further two week period and may thus be secreted into new byssus threads.
