TLDR
In this article, a spectral element method was proposed for numerical solution of the Navier-Stokes equations, where the computational domain is broken into a series of elements, and the velocity in each element is represented as a highorder Lagrangian interpolant through Chebyshev collocation points.

A second order splitting algorithm for thermally‐driven flow problems

TL;DR: In this paper, a splitting technique for solutions of the Navier-Stokes and the energy equations, in Boussinesq approximately, is presented, where the equations are first integrated in time using a splitting procedure and then discretized spatially by means of a high-order spectral element method.

A numerical comparison of Chebyshev methods for solving fourth order semilinear initial boundary value problems

TL;DR: The best Chebyshev method to use for high resolution computations of solutions to initial boundary value problems is the spectral space ChebysHEv integration method which uses sparse matrix operations and has a computational cost comparable to Fourier spectral discretization.

TL;DR: In this article, the main flow and the captive eddy between it and the walls are analyzed, and it is concluded that the main role of the eddy is to shape the flow with a rather small energy exchange.
