Construction and characterization of an OmpH-deficient mutant of Pasteurella multocida strain X-73

TL;DR: The capsule-defective mutant strain PBA129 of P. multocida was constructed by electroporation of phagemid containing the coding region of the antisense RNA of the ompH gene into the wild type strain X-73 (serovar A:1), and it was possible to induce sufficient protection against avian P.Multocida strains.
Journal ArticleDOI

Comparison of traditional antibiotic streptomycin with neomycin, polymyxin B, or colistin in extender for buffalo (Bubalus bubalis) bull spermatozoa

TL;DR: It is suggested that neomycin, polymyxin, or colistin in combination with penicillin did not deteriorate semen quality and may be suggested to replace streptomycin in traditional antibiotic combination for cryopreservation of Nilli-Ravi buffalo bull spermatozoa.
Journal ArticleDOI

Evaluation of three cryoprotectants used with bovine milk affected with Mycoplasma bovis in different freezing conditions

TL;DR: The evaluated cryopreservative compounds would improve survivability of M. bovis in milk for both transport and long-term storage and it is recommended to use the mentioned methods for routine transportation or storage purposes for suspicious M.
