Journal ArticleDOI

Clinical presentations and antimicrobial susceptibilities of Corynebacterium cystitidis associated with renal disease in four beef cattle.

TL;DR: Clinical presentation, diagnosis, minimum inhibitory concentrations (MICs), and outcome of renal disease caused by C. cystitidis in beef cattle are described and Corynebacterium cyst itidis should be considered in the differential diagnosis of cattle with renal disease.
Journal Article

Capsular genotyping (cap5k and cap8k) of Staphylococcus aureus isolates from cattle with clinical mastitis.

Vikas Khichar, +1 more
- 01 Jan 2014 -
TL;DR: Milk samples from cattle with clinical mastitis were characterized for their capsular types targeting cap5K and cap8K genes, offering promise as target antigens for a vaccine to prevent staphylococcal infections.
Journal ArticleDOI

Antibiotic Resistance of Aerobic Bacteria Isolated from Uteri of Slaughtered Cows in and around Addis Ababa, Ethiopia

TL;DR: Penicillin-G, methicillin and erythromycin showed highest resistance to the isolates identified respectively, while sensitivities for selected drug were higher than expected.
Journal ArticleDOI

Otitis in a cat associated with Corynebacterium provencense

TL;DR: Corynebacteria from otitis cases are not routinely identified at the species level and not tested for antimicrobial susceptibility in veterinary laboratories, as they are not considered major pathogens, which may lead to underreporting of this genus or animals being treated with inappropriate antimicrobials.
Journal ArticleDOI

Antimicrobial Resistance Characteristics and Phylogenetic Groups of Escherichia coli Isolated From Diarrheic Calves in Southeast of Iran

TL;DR: In Iran, diarrheic calves have an important role as reservoir of resistant E. coli strains against the some drugs which are registered for treatment of calf diarrhea.
