Knowledge is closed under analytic content

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors defend a version of the closure principle in terms of analyticity; if an agent S knows that p is true and q is an analytic part of p, then S knows q. The authors argue that this principle accommodates intuitive cases and possesses the theoretical resources to avoid the preface paradox.

Skeptical Conclusions

TL;DR: In this paper, it is shown that outer skepticism has undesirable consequences because it does not know whether a proposition does not presuppose another, whereas inner skepticism does not have this undesirable consequence since it does know whether the proposition does or does not exist.

Ascriptions in context: An Experimental Study on the Context-sensitivity of Belief Reports
