Fluorescence Quenching of a Europium Coordination Compound for the Detection of Trace Amounts of Water: Uncovering the Response Mechanism by Structural Confirmation
TL;DR: In this article, the luminescence-quenching effect of 1 has been applied to the detection of water in CH3CN, and the response mechanism has been uncovered through the confirmation of the structure of the resultant nonluminous compound.
Journal ArticleDOI
Alcohol Complexes of Tungsten Prepared by Ionic Hydrogenations of Ketones
TL;DR: In this paper, the 2-propanol complex [Cp(CO)3W(HOiPr)]+OTf was determined by X-ray diffraction.
Journal ArticleDOI
Synthesis, characterization and photoluminescence properties of two new europium(III) coordination polymers with 3D open framework
TL;DR: The 3D open framework coordination polymers, [Eu 2 ( fum ) 3 (H 2 O) 4 ] n ·3 n H 2 O ( 1, fum =fumaric acid) and [Eeu( pdc )(H pdc )] n ( 2, pdc =pyridine-2,5-dicarboxylic acid) have been determined by single-crystal X-ray diffraction analysis as mentioned in this paper.
Journal ArticleDOI
Anion-directed assembly of supramolecular zinc(II) halides with N,N′-bis-4-methyl-pyridyl oxalamide
TL;DR: In this article, the supramolecular structures and solid state luminescence of zinc(II) halides with N,N′-bis-4-methyl-pyridyl oxalamide (L) were reported.
Journal ArticleDOI
Rational Design of Mono-, Bi-, and Tetranuclear Macrocyclic Oxamido−Metal Complexes via Stepwise Complexation
Jinkui Tang,Yan Ouyang,Hui-Bo Zhou,Yi-Zhi Li,Dai-Zheng Liao,Zong-Hui Jiang,Shi-Ping Yan,Peng Cheng +7 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the macrocyclic oxamido-copper (II) complex was used as a building block and N 3 - and Cl- as auxiliary bridged groups, and a binuclear complex and two tetranuclear complexes derived from the binuclear species have been prepared by stepwise synthesis and characterized.

The Protein Data Bank: a computer-based archival file for macromolecular structures.
Frances C. Bernstein,Thomas F. Koetzle,Graheme J. B. Williams,Edgar F. Meyer,Michael D. Brice,John R. Rodgers,O. Kennard,Takehiko Shimanouchi,Mitsuo Tasumi +8 more
TL;DR: The Protein Data Bank is a computer-based archival file for macromolecular structures that stores in a uniform format atomic co-ordinates and partial bond connectivities, as derived from crystallographic studies.
Journal ArticleDOI
Patterns in Hydrogen Bonding: Functionality and Graph Set Analysis in Crystals
TL;DR: In this article, a review of the most promising systematic approaches to resolving this enigma was initially developed by the late M. C. Etter, who applied graph theory to recognize, and then utilize, patterns of hydrogen bonding for the understanding and design of molecular crystals.
Journal ArticleDOI
Supramolecular Synthons in Crystal Engineering—A New Organic Synthesis
TL;DR: In this article, the authors show that crystal engineering is a new organic synthesis, and that rather than being only nominally relevant to organic chemistry, this subject is well within the mainstream, being surprisingly similar to traditional organic synthesis in concept.
Journal ArticleDOI
Encoding and decoding hydrogen-bond patterns of organic compounds
Journal ArticleDOI
Perspectives in Supramolecular Chemistry—From Molecular Recognition towards Molecular Information Processing and Self‐Organization
TL;DR: In this article, the authors proposed a self-assembly approach for the generation of a well-defined supramolecular architecture by self-assembling from their components under a given set of conditions.
