Degradation of phenol in photo-Fenton process by phosphoric acid modified kaolin supported ferric-oxalate catalyst: Optimization and kinetic modeling

TL;DR: In this paper, the degradation process was optimized to minimize the superfluous scavenging effect of excess dosage of hydrogen peroxide (HP) and AMKC on the kinetics study, and the degradation was achieved without initial pH adjustments to avoid the interference of buffering on the degradation kinetics.

Enhancement of a solar photo-Fenton reaction with ferric-organic ligands for the treatment of acrylic-textile dyeing wastewater.

TL;DR: It is elucidated that the slow decay on DOC concentration is associated with the formation of stable complexes between Fe(3+) and textile auxiliary products, limiting the photoreduction of Fe( 3+).

Influence of Aqueous Inorganic Anions on the Reactivity of Nanoparticles in TiO2 Photocatalysis

TL;DR: This work shows that the reactivity of NPs will be strongly influenced by the makeup of the waters they are released into, which arises from the interplay of several physicochemical phenomena.

Photocatalytic degradation of model pharmaceutical pollutant by novel magnetic TiO2@ZnFe2O4/Pd nanocomposite with enhanced photocatalytic activity and stability under solar light irradiation.

TL;DR: The findings showed that after five recycles, the photocatalytic efficiency of TiO2@ZnFe2O4/Pd nanocomposite in diclofenac photodegradation did not show much reduction i.e. the removal efficiency from 86.1% in the first cycle reduced only to 71.38%" in the last cycle.

Decontamination of industrial wastewater containing pesticides by combining large-scale homogeneous solar photocatalysis and biological treatment

TL;DR: In this article, the technical feasibility of large-scale combined solar photo-Fenton/aerobic biological treatment targeting the treatment of a real industrial wastewater polluted with commercial pesticides was evaluated.

TiO2 photocatalysis and related surface phenomena

TL;DR: The field of photocatalysis can be traced back more than 80 years to early observations of the chalking of titania-based paints and to studies of the darkening of metal oxides in contact with organic compounds in sunlight as discussed by the authors.
