Selectively Enhanced UV-A Photoresponsivity of a GaN MSM UV Photodetector with a Step-Graded Al x Ga 1-x N Buffer Layer

TL;DR: It is shown that the design of a buffer layer structure can make effect on the UV-to-visible rejection ratio of GaN UV photodetectors.
Journal ArticleDOI

Structural, mechanical, and vibrational properties of Ga1−xInxAs alloys: A molecular dynamics study

TL;DR: In this article, structural, mechanical, and vibrational properties of Ga1−xInxAs (0⩽x ⩽1) random solid solutions are investigated with classical and ab initio molecular-dynamics simulations.
Journal ArticleDOI

A semi-empirical approach to the prediction of deformation behaviors of β-Ti alloys

TL;DR: A semi-empirical approach based on the compositional average electron-to-atom ratio ( e / a ¯ ) and atomic radius difference ( ∆ r ¯ ) was proposed to refine the d-electron method as mentioned in this paper.

The influence of source powder composition on the electroluminescence of CaxSr1-xS:Eu thin films

TL;DR: In this paper, a single phase of CaS:Eu was obtained using wet chemical synthesis, which considerably improved the luminance of the corresponding ACTFEL devices, and the overall phase distribution was determined by h2h X-ray diffraction measurements and by assessing the photoluminescent properties of the Eu-activated powders.

General machine-learning surrogate models for materials prediction

TL;DR: In this article, the authors demonstrate surrogate models that simultaneously interpolate energies of different materials on a dataset of 10 binary alloys (AgCu, AlFe, AlMg, AlNi, AlTi, CoNi, CuFe, CuNi, FeV, NbNi) with 10 different species and all possible fcc, bcc and hcp structures up to 8 atoms in the unit cell.
