Simultaneous removal of SO2 and NO using a novel method with red mud as absorbent combined with O3 oxidation

TL;DR: The results show that the increase of oxidation temperature is not conducive to the absorption of NOx (O3/NO molar ratio >1), and low concentration of SO2 promotes the absorptionof NOx, however high concentration ofSO2 inhibits absorption ofNOx.
Journal ArticleDOI

Simultaneous removal of SO2 and NOx by a new combined spray-and-scattered-bubble technology based on preozonation: From lab scale to pilot scale

TL;DR: In this article, a spray-and-scattered-bubble technology based on pre-ozonation was designed and tested for simultaneous removal of SO2 and NOx from power plant flue gas.
Journal ArticleDOI

Eulerian-Eulerian numerical simulation for a flue gas desulfurization tower with perforated sieve trays

TL;DR: In this paper, a small-scale Flue Gas Desulfurization (FGD) tower with perforated sieve trays was used to study the interactions between the flow structure and chemical reaction.
Journal ArticleDOI

Enhancement of Mass Transfer between Flue Gas and Slurry in the Wet Flue Gas Desulfurization Spray Tower

TL;DR: In this paper, a flow pattern control (FPC) unit is introduced to improve the desulfurization performance of WFGD by adding a FPC unit in the spraying tower.
Journal ArticleDOI

An investigation on data mining and operating optimization for wet flue gas desulfurization systems

TL;DR: A comprehensive evaluation criterion, using the minimum cost as an objective function, was established for a wet flue gas desulfurization (WFGD) system, and an overall operation database of this system was established, which could successfully obtain the continuous optimal operating conditions and provide operating guidance.

An investigation of particle trajectories in two-phase flow systems

TL;DR: In this article, the authors describe a theoretical investigation into the response of a spherical particle to a one-dimensional fluid flow, and the motion of the spherical particle in a uniform 2D fluid flow about a circular cylinder.

Source contributions and regional transport of primary particulate matter in China.

TL;DR: A source-oriented CMAQ was applied to determine source sector/region contributions to primary particulate matter (PPM) in China and local residential/transportation and residential/industrial from Heibei are major contributors to spring PPM in Beijing.
Journal ArticleDOI

A model for performance optimization of wet flue gas desulfurization systems of power plants

TL;DR: Wang et al. as discussed by the authors developed a model of limestone/gypsum wet flue gas desulfurization (WFGD) system based on unsteady theory, and the models of processes of absorption section and oxidation section were developed and incorporated into the WFGD integral model.
