Measurement of implanted helium particle transport by a flowing liquid lithium film

TLDR
In this article, a pure diffusion model was used to describe the helium transport by the Li film, and it was found that such model predicts a diffusion coefficient of (2.8± 0.6) −10 −11 ǫm 2 /s, based on the experimental retention measurements.

Interactions between Liquid-Wall Vapor and Edge Plasmas

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors analyzed the influx of impurity ions to the core plasma from the vapor of liquid side-walls for a slab geometry which approximates the edge region of a reactor-size tokamak.

Recent Progress in the NSTX/NSTX-U Lithium Program and Prospects for Reactor-Relevant Liquid-Lithium Based Divertor Development

Heat transfer of TEMHD driven lithium flow in stainless steel trenches

TL;DR: In this article, LiMITs have been successfully demonstrated at the University of Illinois and the IR camera results show that such self-driven flowing liquid lithium in the open surface stainless steel trench structure can withstand heat fluxes of up to 10MW/m 2 for 10 seconds without significant evaporation.

On the modeling of the high-temperature embrittlement of metals containing helium

TL;DR: In this article, a model for premature intergranular fracture of metals in creep tests during He injection and after room temperature He implantation is critically assessed, and the differences in the stress and temperature dependences of the lifetimes observed in the two cases are attributed to differences in bubble nucleation and growth kinetics.
