Journal ArticleDOI
Photodynamic therapy of actinic keratosis at varying fluence rates: assessment of photobleaching, pain and primary clinical outcome.
Marica B. Ericson,Carin Sandberg,B Stenquist,F. Gudmundson,M Karlsson,A-M Ros,Arne Rosén,Olle Larkö,A-M Wennberg,Inger Rosdahl +9 more
TL;DR: This work has shown that a low fluence rate is preferable due to depletion of oxygen at high fluence rates in rodents, but these results have not yet been verified in humans.
Journal ArticleDOI
Interaction of human serum low density lipoproteins with porphyrins: a spectroscopic and photochemical study
J. P. Reyftmann,Patrice Morlière,S. Goldstein,René Santus,Louis Dubertret,Dominique Lagrange +5 more
TL;DR: It can be concluded that hydrophobic porphyrins bind to blood proteins in patients suffering from protoporphyria.
Journal ArticleDOI
Structure and activity of tryptophan-rich TSPO proteins
Youzhong Guo,Ravi C. Kalathur,Qun Liu,Brian Kloss,Renato Bruni,Christopher S. Ginter,Edda Kloppmann,Burkhard Rost,Wayne A. Hendrickson +8 more
TL;DR: In this article, the crystal structures for Bacillus cereus TSPO (BcTSPO) down to 1.7 A resolution were reported, including a complex with the benzodiazepine-like inhibitor PK11195.

Protoporphyrin IX Content Correlates with Activity of Photobleaching Herbicides
Jose M. Becerril,Stephen O. Duke +1 more
TL;DR: In cucumber, the level of herbicidal damage caused by several p-nitrodiphenyl other herbicides, a p-chlorodiphenylether herbicide, and oxadiazon correlated positively with the amount of PPIX induced to accumulate by each of the herbicide treatments, strengthening the view that PPIX is responsible for all or a major part of the photobleaching activity of acifluorfen and related herbicides.
