TLDR
The development of neonatal brain atlases with detailed anatomic information derived from DTI and co-registered anatomical MRI and a diffeomorphic transformation is reported, which was able to normalize Neonatal brain images to the atlas space and three-dimensionally parcellate images into 122 regions.

Quantitative MRI for studying neonatal brain development

TL;DR: This work examines the role of image registration and atlas-based techniques, highlighting the challenges posed by the scale of the anatomical changes and the high incidence of radiologically abnormal scans in the premature infant population.

Prognostic value of diffusion-weighted imaging summation scores or apparent diffusion coefficient maps in newborns with hypoxic-ischemic encephalopathy

TL;DR: DWI S scores showed the highest prognostic value for the neurological outcome at 2 years of age and regional ADC measurements in specific subregions proved to be highly prognostic for specific neurodevelopmental outcomes.

A feature-based developmental model of the infant brain in structural MRI

TL;DR: Experiments demonstrate that the model can be used to identify age-related anatomical structure, and to predict the age of new subjects with an average error of 72 days.

Ultrasound Elastography of the Neonatal Brain: Preliminary Study.

TL;DR: To determine the ultrasound elasticity of the brain in neonates, the objective was to establish an objective standard for the determination of elasticity in the brain during pregnancy and establish an experimental procedure for this purpose.

SENSE: Sensitivity Encoding for fast MRI

TL;DR: The problem of image reconstruction from sensitivity encoded data is formulated in a general fashion and solved for arbitrary coil configurations and k‐space sampling patterns and special attention is given to the currently most practical case, namely, sampling a common Cartesian grid with reduced density.

The basis of anisotropic water diffusion in the nervous system – a technical review

TL;DR: The purpose of this review is to characterize the relationship of nuclear magnetic resonance measurements of water diffusion and its anisotropy (i.e. directional dependence) with the underlying microstructure of neural fibres.
