Journal ArticleDOI

How Alfvén waves energize the solar wind: heat versus work

TL;DR: In this article, the authors use high-resolution direct numerical simulations of reflection-driven AW turbulence (RDAWT) in a fast-solar-wind stream emanating from a coronal hole to investigate both mechanisms.
Book ChapterDOI

Quantum Theory of Self-Organizing Electrically Charged Particles: Soliton Model of the Electron

V. P. Oleinik
TL;DR: The physical nature of the electron and the study of its internal structure is one of the key problems of present-day physics and progress in solving this problem will undoubtedly open up great possibilities for producing radically new electronic devices, materials, and technologies that are based on using intra-electron processes as mentioned in this paper.
Journal ArticleDOI

Two dimensional kinetic analysis of electrostatic harmonic plasma waves

TL;DR: In this article, the authors carried out two dimensional theoretical analysis of fundamental and (first) harmonic Langmuir waves for the first time, and showed that the harmonic Lagrangian wave is essentially governed by (quasi)linear process and that nonlinear wave-particle interaction plays no significant role in the time evolution of the wave spectrum.
