Absolute partial decay branching-ratios in 16O
C. Wheldon,N. I. Ashwood,M. Barr,N. Curtis,Martin Freer,Tz. Kokalova,J. D. Malcolm,Simeon Spencer,V. A. Ziman,T. Faestermann,R. Krücken,H.-F. Wirth,Ralf Hertenberger,R. Lutter,Andy Bergmaier +14 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the a-transfer reaction 126C(63Li, d)168O* was performed at a 6Li bombarding energy of 42 MeV to populate excited states in 13C and 16O. Absolute branching ratios have been unambiguously determined for states in the excitation energy range 13.85 to 15.87 MeV and reduced widths are extracted.

TL;DR: In this paper, the spin-parity of two resonant states with excitation energies at 9.8 MeV and 12.6 MeV was identified by the method of angular correlation analysis and verified by the continuum discretized coupled channels (CDCC) calculation.

Alpha clustering and condensation in nuclei
Yasuro Funaki,Taiichi Yamada,Hisashi Horiuchi,Hisashi Horiuchi,G. Röpke,Peter Schuck,Peter Schuck,Akihiro Tohsaki +7 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the α-particle condensation in 12C and 16O was analyzed in terms of the α particle condensation and the OCM (Orthogonality Condition Model) and THSR (Tohsaki-Horiuchi-Schuck-Ropke) approaches.
Journal ArticleDOI
Fractal geometrical properties of nuclei
Wei-Hu Ma,Wei-Hu Ma,Jian-Song Wang,QY Wang,S.N. Mukherjee,Lei Yang,Yan-Yun Yang,Mei-Rong Huang +7 more
TL;DR: In this paper, a new idea to understand the structure of nuclei and compare it to the liquid drop model is presented, where the fractal dimension is an irreplaceable variable similar to the nuclear radius.
Dissertation
New developments in the nuclear binary cluster-core in the heavy nuclear region
TL;DR: In this paper, Kimene Kaya et al. presented an overview on nuclear cluster models and proposed a new hybrid cluster-core potential, obtained by fitting the phenomenological Saxon-Woods Cubed and the M3Y double folding at the surface region where the two potentials coalesce.

TL;DR: In this article, the Schröter equation is formulated as a projection equation and basis wave functions can be chosen in such a way that the incoming and reaction channels are contained in a completely symmetric way in related coupled-channel equations.
