TLDR
The current status of particle dark matter, including experimental evidence and theoretical motivations, including direct and indirect detection techniques, is discussed in this paper. But the authors focus on neutralinos in models of supersymmetry and Kaluza-Klein dark matter in universal extra dimensions.

Profile likelihood maps of a 15-dimensional MSSM

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors present statistically convergent profile likelihood maps obtained via global fits of a phenomenological Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model with 15 free parameters (the MSSM-15), based on over 250M points.

Unidentified sources in the Fermi-LAT second source catalog: the case for DM subhalos

TL;DR: In this article, the authors analyzed both the 24-month and 42-month Fermi-LAT data sets for the γ-ray band and found that the majority of the sources likely originate from high-frequency peaked BL Lac type objects.
Journal ArticleDOI

High-Energy Neutrino Astrophysics: Status and Perspectives

TL;DR: In this article, the authors discuss the scientific case for neutrino telescopes, describe the detection principle and its implementation in first and second-generation installations and finally collect the existing physics results and the expectations for future detectors.

Asymmetric Dark Matter and Dark Radiation

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors explore the scenario where the light mediator decays instead into lighter degrees of freedom in the dark sector that act as radiation in the early Universe and discuss the constraints of the interactions between DM and dark radiation from their imprint in the matter power spectrum.

Spatially uniform calibration of a liquid xenon detector at low energies using (83m)Kr.

TL;DR: This work presents a new method for calibration of liquid xenon (LXe) detectors, using the short-lived (83m)Kr source, which has transitions at 9.4 and 32.1 keV, and finds that at decreasing energies, the LXe light yield increases, while the amount of electric field quenching is diminished.

Large Mass Hierarchy from a Small Extra Dimension

TL;DR: In this paper, the weak scale is generated from the Planck scale through an exponential hierarchy, but this exponential arises not from gauge interactions but from the background metric, which is a slice of spacetime.

The Structure of cold dark matter halos

TL;DR: In this article, high-resolution N-body simulations show that the density profiles of dark matter halos formed in the standard CDM cosmogony can be fit accurately by scaling a simple universal profile.

The Early Universe

TL;DR: In this article, the Robertson-Walker Metric is used to measure the radius of the Planck Epoch in the expanding universe, which is a measure of the number of atoms in the universe.

The Hierarchy problem and new dimensions at a millimeter

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors propose a new framework for solving the hierarchy problem which does not rely on either supersymmetry or technicolor, and they take as the only fundamental short distance scale in nature.
