Particle dark matter: Evidence, candidates and constraints

Gianfranco Bertone, +2 more
- 01 Jan 2005 -
- Vol. 405, Iss: 5, pp 279-390
TLDR
The current status of particle dark matter, including experimental evidence and theoretical motivations, including direct and indirect detection techniques, is discussed in this paper. But the authors focus on neutralinos in models of supersymmetry and Kaluza-Klein dark matter in universal extra dimensions.

Quantum Theory of Fields

L. Infeld
- 01 Dec 1949 -
TL;DR: Wentzel and Jauch as discussed by the authors described the symmetrization of the energy momentum tensor according to the Belinfante Quantum Theory of Fields (BQF).

Dark Matter Search Results from a One Ton-Year Exposure of XENON1T.

Elena Aprile, +119 more
TL;DR: In this article, a search for weakly interacting massive particles (WIMPs) using 278.8 days of data collected with the XENON1T experiment at LNGS is reported.

Observational probes of cosmic acceleration

TL;DR: In this article, the authors present extensive forecasts for constraints on the dark energy equation of state and parameterized deviations from General Relativity, achievable with Stage III and Stage IV experimental programs that incorporate supernovae, BAO, weak lensing, and cosmic microwave background data.

Searching for dark matter annihilation from Milky Way dwarf spheroidal galaxies with six years of Fermi Large Area Telescope data

Markus Ackermann, +125 more
TL;DR: In this article, the authors report on γ-ray observations of the Milky-Way satellite galaxies (dSphs) based on six years of Fermi Large Area Telescope data processed with the new Pass8 event-level analysis.

Small - scale clumps in the galactic halo and dark matter annihilation

TL;DR: In this article, the mass spectrum of small-scale clumps with inflation-produced primeval fluctuation spectrum is calculated with the tidal destruction of the clumps taken into account within a hierarchical model of clump structure.

An accreting black hole model for sagittarius A

TL;DR: In this article, the spectrum and flux of radiation resulting from this process are calculated, and it is shown that they are consistent with the data over at least 12 decades of frequency, together with kinematic studies of the stellar and gas distributions in this region, the model argues strongly in favor of Sgr A being a black hole with mass over a million solar masses.

Mirror baryons as the dark matter

TL;DR: The cosmological abundance of mirror particles is investigated after a period of chaotic inflation and subsequent reheating and it is found that mirror and ordinary abundances may naturally be similar at the present epoch, and that mirror baryons can provide the closure density without violating nucleosynthesis constraints.

Confronting spectral functions from ee annihilation and $\tau$ decays: consequences for the muon magnetic moment

TL;DR: In this paper, a comparison of the vector spectral functions involves a correction from isospin-breaking effects, which is evaluated, and it is found that the dominant spectral functions do not agree within experimental and theoretical uncertainties.
