Verticillium longisporum on oilseed rape (Brassica napus L.)

TL;DR: Results indicated that SA and phenolic acid synthesis are important in cultivar-related resistance during asymptomatic and symptomatic stages of infection, respectively, and high variation of responses to infection with V. longisporum is found.

Secondary Metabolites for Sustainable Plant Growth and Production Under Adverse Environment Conditions

TL;DR: Secondary metabolites (SMs) are nonessential compounds synthesized by plants that help them to combat stressed conditions as mentioned in this paper, and they carry out a multitude of functions ranging from mutualistic interactions with organisms (nitrogen assimilation) to stabilization of cellular structures and molecular compounds during stress conditions.

Anti-inflammatory Activity of Aristotelia chilensis Mol. (Stuntz) (Elaeocarpaceae). (Anti-inflammatory Activity of Aristotelia chilensis Mol. (Stuntz) (Elaeocarpaceae).)

TL;DR: In this article, the anti-inflammatory activity of the extracts, fractions and subfractions of the Aristotelia chilensis was investigated for the first time and the results showed that these samples strongly inhibited the induced inflammation in ear of the mouse edema in TPA inflammation model, with EC50 values ranging from 0.3 to 11.8 μg/mL.

Effects of chromium, cadmium, lead and zinc on germination, seedling growth and phenol contents of Vigna unguiculata (L.) Walp.

TL;DR: In this article, the effect of four heavy metals, including chromium, cadmium, lead and zinc, on early seedling growth and soluble phenol content of cowpea Vigna unguiculata was examined.
