A Fertile Field: The Mutual Influence and Parallel Histories of Auxin and Flavonoids
TL;DR: Auxin is notable for its influence on almost every aspect of plant growth and development, but there remain, nevertheless, questions over its relevance in “real-life” plant growth.
Journal ArticleDOI
Drug Discovery Inspired by Mother Nature: Seeking Natural Biochemotypes and the Natural Assembly Rules of the Biochemome
TL;DR: This approach provides a new paradigm for drug discovery that is based on a comprehensive knowledge of the synthetic origins of biochemical diversity, and helps to direct biomimetic syntheses aimed at assembling quasi-natural product libraries for drug screening.
Journal Article
Modificación en el perfil de polifenoles de Tripodanthus acutifolius (Ruiz et Pav.) Tiegh. (Loranthaceae) infectado por "Cochinilla" (Homoptera - Lecanidae)
TL;DR: Ruiz et al. as discussed by the authors analyzed the perfil of polifenoles of Tripodanthus acutifolius in relation with the infeccion causada by cochinilla and found that total phenols and total tannin concentration are consistently higher in infected than in healthy leaves.
Journal ArticleDOI
Monoterpenes: Promising natural products for public health insect control- A review
Hassan A. Gad,Gomaa R.M. Ramadan,Ahmed M. El-Bakry,Ahmed M. El-Sabrout,Samir A. M. Abdelgaleil +4 more
TL;DR: In this article, a review of studies describing the bioactivities of monoterpenes against these public health insects is presented, where the chemistry, mode of action and structure-activity relationship of monenerpenes are also discussed.
Journal ArticleDOI
Mitigating the adverse effects of deficit fertigation on strawberry yield, quality and phytochemical compounds by salicylic acid and putrescine treatments
TL;DR: MDF (140 mL/D) significantly enhanced the yield and quality of the fruit, and both PUT and SA, enhanced the positive effects of MDF on crop productivity.
