Differential grazing of female and male plants of prostrate juniper (Juniperus communis L.)

TL;DR: Females and males of dioecious species may not allocate the same proportions of assimilate to plant protection and so may be differentially grazed, suggesting that the greater grazing on unsexable plants might be responsible for the cessation of reproduction.

Detection and discrimination of nutrient deficiencies in sunflower by blue-green and chlorophyll-a fluorescence imaging

TL;DR: Images analysis allows a better interpretation of the fluorescence changes by showing the spatial relationships between BGF, the ChlFUV/ChlFBLUE and the RF/FRF ratios that are indicative of physiological disturbances occurring in leaves of nutrient deficient plants.

Rapid structural characterisation of benzylisoquinoline and aporphine alkaloids from Ocotea spixiana acaricide extract by HPTLC-DESI-MSn.

TL;DR: The use of high-performance thin layer chromatography coupled with desorption electrospray ionisation multistage mass spectrometry (HPTLC DESI-MSn) as a fast tool to identify alkaloids present in O. spixiana extract and evaluate the extract's acaricide activity was demonstrated.
