2016 Comprehensive Update of the Banff Working Group on Liver Allograft Pathology: Introduction of Antibody-Mediated Rejection.

Anthony J. Demetris, +76 more
TL;DR: New recommendations for complement component 4d tissue staining and interpretation, staging liver allograft fibrosis, and findings related to immunosuppression minimization are included.
Journal ArticleDOI

Melatonin Activates Endoplasmic Reticulum Stress and Apoptosis in Rats with Diethylnitrosamine-Induced Hepatocarcinogenesis.

TL;DR: Melatonin improved survival rates and successfully attenuated liver injury, as shown by histopathology, decreased levels of serum transaminases and reduced expression of placental glutathione S-transferase in rats with DEN-induced HCC.
Journal ArticleDOI

Acute and Subchronic Toxicity Evaluation of Poly(ɛ-Caprolactone) Lipid-Core Nanocapsules in Rats

TL;DR: The toxicity of lipid-core nanocapsules (LNCs) containing a polymeric wall of poly(ε-caprolactone) and a coating of polysorbate 80 used as drug delivery devices in Wistar rats is investigated, indicating that LNC might be a safe candidate for drug delivery system.
Journal ArticleDOI

Medial thickening of hepatic artery branches in biliary atresia. A morphometric study.

TL;DR: In BA, there is a progressive thickening of the arterial medial layer, suggestive of vascular remodeling, which is associated to the disappearance of interlobular bile ducts.
Journal ArticleDOI

In vivo toxicological evaluation of polymeric nanocapsules after intradermal administration.

TL;DR: It is concluded that, under the conditions of these experiments, biodegradable LNC did not present appreciable toxicity after 28 consecutive days of intradermal administration and is promising for its future application in vaccines and patch-based devices for enhancing the delivery of drugs.
