TL;DR: The prognostic significance of age <40 has been shown to differ according to the BC subtype, being associated with worst recurrence-free survival (RFS) and overall survival (OS) for luminal BC, and specific pathways overexpressed in these tumors have been identified which can lead to the development of targeted therapy in the future.
