Journal ArticleDOI

Low insulin concentrations stimulate in vitro the soluble guanylate cyclase activity of rat liver.

TL;DR: The soluble guanylate cyclase activity of rat liver appears to be stimulated in VITRO by insulin at pMolar concentrations, while proinsulin, denaturated insulin or desoctapeptide insulin, are not able to stimulate the studied enzymic activity.
Journal ArticleDOI

Reply to the "Comments on the article 'Effects of vildagliptin twice daily vs. sitagliptin once daily on 24-hour acute glucose fluctuations'", by Avogaro (Journal of Diabetes and Its Complications 25 [2011] 352-353).

TL;DR: It is agreed with the observation of Avogaro that CSGM data are asymmetric since the hypoglycemic range is much narrower than the hyperglycemic range; therefore, MAGE may introduce a “hypersen-like quality” to the glycemic range.
Journal ArticleDOI

Hormonal regulation and characterization of MHG30 gene, a desaturase-like gene of hamster harderian gland

TL;DR: Findings strongly suggest that the MHG30 gene could be involved in supporting the sexual dimorphism of the Syrian hamster and its expression is likely triggered by a series of hormonal interactions.
Journal ArticleDOI
