Journal ArticleDOI
The protection of iron against corrosion with polymer films prepared by cathodic polymerization of halogenated xylenes
TL;DR: In this paper, a cyclic sweeps of potential (COP) film was used to protect an iron rotating disk electrode from corrosion in an aerated 0.5 M Na 2 SO 4 solution.
Journal ArticleDOI
Bottom-up Fabrication of Polymer-coated Electrodes and Through-bond Redox Conduction
TL;DR: In this article, a review of recent studies on the preparation of layer-by-layer assembled multilayers by stepwise chemical bond formation on the surface is presented, which is useful to synthesize oligomeric and polymeric molecular wires with the desired number of complex units and with desired physical structures.
Journal ArticleDOI
Conductive coordination nanosheets: Sailing to electronics, energy storage, and catalysis
TL;DR: In this paper , a review of electrically conductive coordination nanosheets (CONASHs) is presented, which summarizes recent progress regarding their structural diversity, synthesis, conductive properties, and applications as energy storage materials, electrocatalysts, and sensors.
Journal ArticleDOI
Electrochemical interfacing of Prussian blue nanocrystals with an ITO electrode modified with a thin film containing a Ru complex
Hiroaki Sato,Mitsutoshi Ide,Ryo Saito,Takanari Togashi,Katsuhiko Kanaizuka,Masato Kurihara,Hiroshi Nishihara,Hiroaki Ozawa,Masa-aki Haga +8 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors investigated the molecular interfacing of Prussian blue (PB) nanocrystals with a thin film containing a redox-active Ru complex (Ru-NP) and showed that the growth of preferentially oriented PB nanopores was observed on an ITO electrode modified with a Ru-NP primer film, which was subsequently characterized by UV-Vis-NIR spectroscopy, scanning electron microscopy (SEM), and X-ray diffraction (XRD) analysis.
Journal ArticleDOI
Redox-active, luminescent coordination nanosheet capsules containing magnetite.
Ryo Arai,Mengjuan Li,Mengjuan Li,Ryojun Toyoda,Hiroaki Maeda,Hiroaki Maeda,Hiroshi Nishihara,Hiroshi Nishihara +7 more
TL;DR: Two-dimensional coordination nanosheets (CONASHs) are grown at the spherical liquid–liquid interface of a dichloromethane droplet in water to form zero-dimensional nano- and micro-capsules using a simple dropping method, a syringe-pump method, and an emulsion method to indicate that physicochemically functional CONASH capsules are suitable for incorporating other functional materials to develop hybrid systems.
