Aggregation-Induced Emission: Together We Shine, United We Soar!

Luminogenic materials with aggregation-induced emission (AIE) attributes have attracted much interest since the debut of the AIE concept in 2001. In this critical review, recent progress in the area of AIE research is summarized. Typical examples of AIE systems are discussed, from which their structure–property relationships are derived. Through mechanistic decipherment of the photophysical processes, structural design strategies for generating new AIE luminogens are developed. Technological, especially optoelectronic and biological, applications of the AIE systems are exemplified to illustrate how the novel AIE effect can be utilized for high-tech innovations (183 references).

61‐3: Investigation of AlGaN‐Based Deep‐UV MicroLED as Highly Efficient Excitation Source for Green Perovskite Quantum‐Dot Display

Optical filter is quite an important measure in optical information processing. In this paper, FIR (finite impulse response) filter theory is employed in optical filter design to set up a novel optical FIR filter model, based on the crystal birefringence effect. Using this model, arbitrary spectrum output can easily be obtained, including double channels. Here we present several optical FIR filter optimization approaches to get good performance and then give both spectrum and angle properties for this fiRer. Furthermore, we also present the experimental implementation and show G/M filter as an example, which has good application prospect in projection display field.

Optical FIR filter based on crystal birefringence: theory and experimental investigation

Here we disclose the novel Electrically Suppressed Helix Ferroelectric (ESHFLC) field sequential color display based on photo-aligned fast ferroelectric LCD. The ESH mode is characterized by high contrast. The frame frequency of 240 Hz has been demonstrated for the Field Sequential Color (FSC). Thus proposed display is characterized by the high contrast (10000:1), wide viewing angle, large color triangle (130% of NTSC) and low power consumption.
