arXiv : The $^{7}$Be($\boldsymbol{n,p}$)$^{7}$Li reaction and the Cosmological Lithium Problem: measurement of the cross section in a wide energy range at n\_TOF (CERN)

L. A. Damone, +157 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors report on the measurement of the cross-section of the lithium ion reaction from thermal to approximately 325 keV neutron energy, performed in the high-flux experimental area (EAR2) of the n\_TOF facility at CERN.
Journal ArticleDOI

High-accuracy determination of the neutron flux in the new experimental area n_TOF-EAR2 at CERN

M. Sabaté-Gilarte, +157 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the results of various measurements have been combined, yielding an evaluated neutron energy distribution in a wide energy range, from 2meV to 100MeV, with an accuracy ranging from 2%, at low energy, to 6% in the high energy region.
Journal ArticleDOI

Pulse processing routines for neutron time-of-flight data

TL;DR: A pulse shape analysis framework is described, which was developed for n_TOF-Phase3, the third phase in the operation of the n-TOF facility at CERN, characterized by a minimal number of explicit assumptions about the nature of pulses.
Journal ArticleDOI

GEANT4 simulations of the n_TOF spallation source and their benchmarking

TL;DR: In this article, the GEANT4 native de-excitation model was used to simulate the spallation target of the n_TOF facility at CERN and the results obtained with different models of high energy nucleon-nucleus interaction have been compared with the measured characteristics of the neutron beam, in particular the flux and its dependence on neutron energy, measured in the first experimental area.
Journal ArticleDOI

Experimental setup and procedure for the measurement of the 7Be(n,p)7Li reaction at n_TOF

Mario Barbagallo, +145 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors describe a detection apparatus and the experimental procedure for the determination of the cross-section of the 7Be(n, α)α reaction, which represents one of the focal points toward the solution of the cosmological Lithium abundance problem.
