Journal ArticleDOI

The unusual aggregation-induced emission of coplanar organoboron isomers and their lipid droplet-specific applications

TL;DR: In this paper, new organoboron derivatives with coplanar structures were synthesized and found to be AIE-active by photoluminescence spectroscopy, single crystal X-ray diffraction and theoretical calculations.
Journal ArticleDOI

Ferrocene-Functionalized Hyperbranched Polyphenylenes: Synthesis, Redox Activity, Light Refraction, Transition-Metal Complexation, and Precursors to Magnetic Ceramics

TL;DR: In this paper, E-1]-2,5-Diethynylphenylvinyl]ferrocene (1), a ferrocene-containing diyne, was polymerized by ruthenium-and rhodium-based catalysts, affording hyperbranched polyphenylenes with high molecular weights (Mw up to ∼ 1.4 × 105) in high yields (up to 100%).
Journal ArticleDOI

Conjugated Hyperbranched Poly(aryleneethynylene)s: Synthesis, Photophysical Properties, Superquenching by Explosive, Photopatternability, and Tunable High Refractive Indices

TL;DR: All of the polymers possessed good film formability, and UV irradiation of the thin films induced simultaneous photobleaching and cross-linking, thus making them applicable in the fabrication of 2D and 3D patterns.
