Journal ArticleDOI
Partially oxidised organic components in urban aerosol using GCXGC-TOF/MS
TL;DR: In this article, the authors used GCXGC-TOF/MS to identify oxygenated volatile organic compounds (o-VOCs) contained within urban aerosol, and in a typical sample around 130 o- VOCs were identified based on retention behaviour and spectral match.
Journal ArticleDOI

TL;DR: The role of mineral binding in preserving the protein sequence in ostrich (Struthionidae) eggshell is demonstrated, including from the palaeontological sites of Laetoli and Olduvai Gorge in Tanzania, demonstrating authenticity of the surviving sequences.

Hewitt,Mark H. Barley,Michael E. Jenkin,Andrew R. Rickard,Scot T. Martin,Gordon McFiggans,Hugh Coe +18 more
TL;DR: In this article, a tropical rainforest located in Danum Valley, Borneo, Malaysia, a high isoprene emission region, was studied during Summer 2008 using Aerosol Mass Spectrometry and offline detailed characterisation using comprehensive two dimensional gas chromatography.
