Changes in Cerebral Energy Metabolites Induced by Impact-Acceleration Brain Trauma and Hypoxic-Hypotensive Injury in Rats

TL;DR: The prolonged post-traumatic impairment in brain energy metabolism may be related to traumatic brain injury (TBI) severity, and became worse when T was complicated by HH, but was not related to changes in CBF.

Sarilumab in adults hospitalised with moderate-to-severe COVID-19 pneumonia (CORIMUNO-SARI-1): An open-label randomised controlled trial

Xavier Mariette, +602 more
TL;DR: In this paper, a randomized, open-label, Bayesian randomised, adaptive, phase 2/3 clinical trial, nested within the CORIMUNO-19 cohort, was conducted to test a superiority hypothesis that sarilumab, a high affinity anti-IL-6 receptor antibody, might improve the outcome of patients with moderate-to-severe COVID-19 pneumonia.

Rat model of spinal cord injury preserving dura mater integrity and allowing measurements of cerebrospinal fluid pressure and spinal cord blood flow

TL;DR: A rat model allows SCBF and CSF pressure measurements after induced SCI to investigate relationships between CSFpressure and spinal cord blood flow (SCBF), and shows that after SCI,CSF pressure significantly increases.
