Families of Dothideomycetes

Kevin D. Hyde, +72 more
- 10 Dec 2013 -
TL;DR: Dothideomycetes comprise a highly diverse range of fungi characterized mainly by asci with two wall layers (bitunicate asci) and often with fissitunicate dehiscence, and it is hoped that by illustrating types they provide stimulation and interest so that more work is carried out in this remarkable group of fungi.
Journal ArticleDOI

A molecular phylogenetic reappraisal of the Didymosphaeriaceae (= Montagnulaceae )

TL;DR: The phylogenetic analyses conclude that, the recently introduced Didymosphaeria rubi-ulmifolii with Paraconiothyrium brasiliense species complex, Alloconiothyrium, Bimuria, Deniquelata, Didymocrea, Kalmusia, Karstenula, Letendraea, Montagnula, Neokalmusia; forms a robust clade named here Didymoosphaeriaceae.
Journal ArticleDOI

Recommended names for pleomorphic genera in Dothideomycetes.

Amy Y. Rossman, +50 more
TL;DR: Twenty new combinations are made: Acrogenospora carmichaeliana (Berk.) Rossman & Crous, Alternaria scrophulariae (Desm.), Pyrenophora catenaria (Drechsler), and Zeloasperisporium over Neomicrothyrium (Butin).
Journal ArticleDOI

Refined families of dothideomycetes: Dothideomycetidae and pleosporomycetidae

S. Hongsanan, +79 more
- 01 Jan 2020 -
TL;DR: An overall phylogenetic tree of families in Dothideomycetes is provided based on combined analysis of LSU, SSU, rpb-2 and tef1 sequence data, and phylogenetic trees for each order in DothsideomyCetidae and PleosporomycETidae are provided.
