PLANETARY CANDIDATES OBSERVED BY Kepler. VIII. A FULLY AUTOMATED CATALOG WITH MEASURED COMPLETENESS AND RELIABILITY BASED ON DATA RELEASE 25.

Susan E. Thompson, +77 more
TL;DR: The Robovetter and the metrics it uses to decide which TCEs are called planet candidates in the DR25 KOI catalog are discussed and a value called the disposition score is discussed which provides an easy way to select a more reliable, albeit less complete, sample of candidates.
Journal ArticleDOI

The L 98-59 System: Three Transiting, Terrestrial-size Planets Orbiting a Nearby M Dwarf

Veselin B. Kostov, +121 more
TL;DR: The transiting exoplanet Survey Satellite (TESS) discovery of three terrestrial-size planets transiting L 98-59 (TOI-175, TIC 307210830) is reported in this article.
Journal ArticleDOI

On the detection of non-transiting exoplanets with dusty tails

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors present a way of searching for non-transiting exoplanets with dusty tails, where the extinction by dust during the transit removes more light from the beam than is scattered into it, and the forward scattering component of the light is best seen either just prior to ingress or just after egress, but with reduced amplitude over the larger peak that is obscured by the transit.
