Journal ArticleDOI

Protoglobin-Catalyzed Formation of cis-Trifluoromethyl-Substituted Cyclopropanes by Carbene Transfer.

TL;DR: In this paper , an engineered protoglobin from Aeropyrnum pernix (ApePgb) was used to synthesize cis-CF3-CPAs with high yield and enanti-selectivity.
Journal ArticleDOI

A Mechanistic Switch from Homoallylation to Cyclopropylcarbinylation of Aldehydes.

TL;DR: In studying the effect of cyclopropane substituents, it is discovered that an aryl substituent completely changes the outcome to cycloallylation reactions of aliphatic and aromatic aldehydes, as if thecyclopropylcarbinyl fragment were transferred intact.
