Journal ArticleDOI

Interception of the Bycroft-Gowland Intermediate in the Enzymatic Macrocyclization of Thiopeptides.

TL;DR: This work identifies conditions and substrates that decouple the cycloaddition from subsequent steps and allow interception and characterization of this long hypothesized intermediate, and provides evidence for a mechanistic link between disparate cyclases in thiopeptide biosynthesis.
Journal ArticleDOI

Thermodynamic Control of Isomerizations of Bicyclic Radicals: Interplay of Ring Strain and Radical Stabilization.

TL;DR: The rearrangements of 4-substituted bicyclo[2.2.1]oct-6-en-2-yl radicals with some substituents, e.g., alkoxy and phenyl, but not for silyloxymethyl or benzyl substituent, are given.
