Journal ArticleDOI
The alternative cap-binding complex is required for antiviral defense in vivo.
Anna Gebhardt,Anna Gebhardt,Valter Bergant,Valter Bergant,Daniel Schnepf,Markus Moser,Markus Moser,Arno Meiler,Dieudonnée Togbe,Claire Mackowiak,Line S. Reinert,Søren R. Paludan,Bernhard Ryffel,Bernhard Ryffel,Alexey Stukalov,Alexey Stukalov,Peter Staeheli,Andreas Pichlmair,Andreas Pichlmair +18 more
TL;DR: Evidence is provided that NCBP3 is essential to mount a precise and appropriate antiviral response to viral infections, and that it may be more broadly involved to ensure proper protein expression.
Journal ArticleDOI
Antiviral and immunological effects of tenofovir microbicide in vaginal herpes simplex virus 2 infection.
Line K. Vibholm,Line S. Reinert,Ole S. Søgaard,Søren R. Paludan,Lars Østergaard,Martin Tolstrup,Jesper Melchjorsen +6 more
TL;DR: It is confirmed that the microbicide TFV had direct anti-HSV-2 effects in a murine vaginal challenge model and that TDF showed a 50-fold greater potency than TFV.
Journal ArticleDOI
Author Correction: SARS-CoV2-mediated suppression of NRF2-signaling reveals potent antiviral and anti-inflammatory activity of 4-octyl-itaconate and dimethyl fumarate

Journal ArticleDOI
NKT cell activation by local α-galactosylceramide administration decreases susceptibility to HSV-2 infection
Marie B. Iversen,Simon K. Jensen,Anne Louise Hansen,Henriette Winther,Shohreh Issazadeh-Navikas,Line S. Reinert,Christian K. Holm +6 more
TL;DR: A protective effect of αGalCer induced activation of NKT cells in the innate immune protection against viral infection is demonstrated.
Journal ArticleDOI
High-dose vitamin D3 supplementation decreases the number of colonic CD103+ dendritic cells in healthy subjects.
TL;DR: High-dose vitamin D supplementation is well tolerated by healthy subjects and has a direct effect on the CD103+ DCs, local cytokine and surface marker mRNA expression in the colonic mucosa, suggestive of a shift towards a more tolerogenic milieu.
