Noa Dagan,Noam Barda,Noam Barda,Noam Barda,Eldad Kepten,Oren Miron,Oren Miron,Shay Perchik,Mark A. Katz,Mark A. Katz,Mark A. Katz,Miguel A. Hernán,Marc Lipsitch,Ben Y. Reis,Ran D. Balicer,Ran D. Balicer +15 more
TL;DR: This study in a nationwide mass vaccination setting suggests that the BNT162b2 mRNA vaccine is effective for a wide range of Covid-19–related outcomes, a finding consistent with that of the randomized trial.
Journal ArticleDOI
Estimated global mortality associated with the first 12 months of 2009 pandemic influenza A H1N1 virus circulation: a modelling study
Fatimah S. Dawood,A. Danielle Iuliano,Carrie Reed,Martin I. Meltzer,David K. Shay,Po Yung Cheng,Don Bandaranayake,Robert F. Breiman,W. Abdullah Brooks,W. Abdullah Brooks,Philippe Buchy,Daniel R. TL;DR: The global number of deaths during the first 12 months of virus circulation in each country and the estimate of respiratory and cardiovascular mortality associated with the 2009 pandemic influenza A H1N1 was 15 times higher than reported laboratory-confirmed deaths.
Journal ArticleDOI

Simões,Harry Campbell +52 more
TL;DR: The role of influenza in childhood mortality from ALRI is estimated by combining incidence estimates with case fatality ratios from hospital-based reports and identifying studies with population-based data for influenza seasonality and monthly ALRI mortality.
Journal ArticleDOI

TL;DR: The findings provide new and important evidence for maternal and paediatric influenza immunisation, and should inform future immunisation policy particularly in low-income and lower-middle-income countries.
Journal ArticleDOI
Revision of clinical case definitions: influenza-like illness and severe acute respiratory infection.
Julia Fitzner,Saba Qasmieh,Anthony W. Mounts,Burmaa Alexander,Terry G. Besselaar,Sylvie Briand,Caroline Brown,Seth Clark,Erica Dueger,Diane Gross,Siri Helene Hauge,Siddhivinayak Hirve,Pernille Jorgensen,Mark A.
