Exploration of Highly Electron-Rich Manganese Complexes in Enantioselective Oxidation Catalysis; a Focus on Enantioselective Benzylic Oxidation
TL;DR: The direct enantioselective hydroxylation of benzylic C–H bonds to form chiralbenzylic alcohols represents a challenging transformation and the exploration of new biologically inspired manganese and iron inspiration is reported on.
Journal ArticleDOI
Dichloro(di-2-pyridylamine)zinc(II): a redetermination at 110 K
TL;DR: The ZnCl2(C10H9N3) compound has been investigated at 110'K as mentioned in this paper, where the amine N atom is found to have a symmetrical planar environment.
Journal ArticleDOI
Polymorphism and Modulation of Para-Substituted l-Phenylalanine
TL;DR: The methyl-substituent in para-methyl-l-phenylalanine has, in contrast to fluorine, no polar interactions with protons of neighboring molecules, which might allow for the well-defined modulation of the crystal structure at 230 K.
Journal ArticleDOI
3,4‐Dihydroquinolinium Salts: Preparation by Reaction of N‐ Arylnitrilium Salts with Alkenes.
TL;DR: In this article, the 3,4-dihydorquinolinium (3D-QN) was analyzed using X-ray structural analysis, and it was shown that the intermediate carbenium ion A formed by electrophilic attack of 1 on the alkene 2 is conjugatively or hyperconjugatively stabilized, instead of 3D-dqN salts 3 resulting from a Houben-Hoesch reaction, or iminium salts 5 arising from a formal ene reaction are formed.
Journal ArticleDOI
Order-Disorder in Diaquobis(salicylato)copper(II) Revisited
TL;DR: In this article, the crystal structure of diaquobis(salicylato)copper(II), CuSal, which is an OD material with disordered layer stacking, was investigated.
