High performance of cup-stacked-type carbon nanotubes as a Pt–Ru catalyst support for fuel cell applications

TL;DR: In this paper, the potential of cup-stacked-type carbon nanotubes (CSCNTs) as a catalyst support for the direct methanol fuel cells has been investigated by the electrochemical oxidation of methanoline at various temperatures.
Journal Article

Group theory analysis of phonons in two-dimensional transition metal dichalcogenides

TL;DR: In this paper, a thorough group theory study of the symmetry aspects relevant to optical and spectroscopic analysis, for the most common polytypes of transition metal dichalcogenides, i.e., 2 Ha, 2 Hc and 1T, is presented.
Journal ArticleDOI

Potential dependent surface Raman spectroscopy of single wall carbon nanotube films on platinum electrodes

TL;DR: In this article, the resonance Raman spectra of single-walled carbon nanotubes in an electrochemically controlled aqueous H2SO4 environment using different laser excitation energies were analyzed.
Journal ArticleDOI

Quantum Effects in the Thermoelectric Power Factor of Low-Dimensional Semiconductors

TL;DR: The interplay between the confinement length L and the thermal de Broglie wavelength Λ is investigated to optimize the thermoelectric power factor of semiconducting materials and an analytical formula for the power factor is derived based on the one-band model assuming nondegenerate semiconductors.
