Journal ArticleDOI
Antibody cocktail to SARS-CoV-2 spike protein prevents rapid mutational escape seen with individual antibodies.
Alina Baum,Benjamin O. Fulton,Elzbieta Wloga,Richard Copin,Kristen E. Pascal,Vincenzo Russo,Stephanie Giordano,Kathryn Lanza,Nicole Negron,Min Ni,Yi Wei,Gurinder S. Atwal,Andrew J. Murphy,Neil Stahl,George D. Yancopoulos,Christos A. Kyratsous +15 more
TL;DR: This work investigated the development of resistance against four antibodies to the spike protein that potently neutralize SARS-CoV-2, individually as well as when combined into cocktails.
Journal ArticleDOI
REGN-COV2 antibodies prevent and treat SARS-CoV-2 infection in rhesus macaques and hamsters
Alina Baum,Dharani Ajithdoss,Richard Copin,Anbo Zhou,Kathryn Lanza,Nicole Negron,Min Ni,Yi Wei,Kusha Mohammadi,Bret J Musser,Gurinder S. Atwal,Adelekan Oyejide,Yenny Goez-Gazi,John Dutton,Elizabeth Clemmons,Hilary M. Staples,Carmen Bartley,Benjamin Klaffke,Kendra J. Alfson,Michal Gazi,Olga Gonzalez,Edward J. Yancopoulos,Christos A. Kyratsous +35 more
TL;DR: It is demonstrated that REGN-COV-2 can greatly reduce virus load in the lower and upper airways and decrease virus-induced pathological sequelae when administered prophylactically or therapeutically in rhesus macaques and golden hamsters.
Journal ArticleDOI
MyD88-Dependent Activation of B220−CD11b+LY-6C+ Dendritic Cells during Brucella melitensis Infection
TL;DR: It is demonstrated that the induction of iNOS and IFN-γ-producing cells due to Brucella infection required TLR4 and TLR9 stimulation coupled to Myd88-dependent signaling pathways, and the unique role of MyD88 was confirmed by the lack of impact of Toll-IL-1R domain-containing adaptor inducing IFn-β deficiency.
Journal ArticleDOI
The monoclonal antibody combination REGEN-COV protects against SARS-CoV-2 mutational escape in preclinical and human studies.
Richard Copin,Alina Baum,Elzbieta Wloga,Kristen E. Pascal,Stephanie Giordano,Benjamin O. Fulton,Anbo Zhou,Nicole Negron,Kathryn Lanza,Newton Chan,Angel Coppola,Joyce Chiu,Min Ni,Yi Wei,Gurinder S. Yancopoulos,Christos A. Kyratsous +36 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the sequence diversity of the spike protein and monitored emergence of virus variants in SARS-CoV-2 isolates found in COVID-19 patients treated with the two-antibody combination REGEN-COV, as well as in preclinical in vitro studies using single, dual, or triple antibody combinations.
Journal ArticleDOI

Giavedoni,Ricardo Carrion,Deepak Kaushal +62 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors compared acute severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) infection in young and old rhesus macaques, baboons and old marmosets.
