Dynamics of Femtosecond Laser Interactions with Dielectrics
Samuel S. Mao,Fabien Quéré,Stéphane Guizard,Xianglei Mao,Richard E. Russo,Guillaume Petite,Philippe Martin +6 more
TL;DR: An overview of femtosecond laser interactions with dielectrics can be found in this article, where the focus is the dynamics of femto-laser-excited carriers and the propagation of femtecond laser pulses inside dielectric materials.
Journal ArticleDOI
The origin of high electrolyte-electrode interfacial resistances in lithium cells containing garnet type solid electrolytes
Lei Cheng,Lei Cheng,Ethan J. Crumlin,Wei Chen,Ruimin Qiao,Huaming Hou,Huaming Hou,Simon Franz Lux,Vassilia Zorba,Richard E. Russo,Robert Kostecki,Zhi Liu,Kristin A. Persson,Wanli Yang,Jordi Cabana,Jordi Cabana,Thomas J. Richardson,Guoying Chen,Marca M. Doeff +18 more
TL;DR: Results obtained from lithium symmetrical cells suggest that the quality of the LLZO/lithium interface has a significant impact on the device lifetime and surface polishing can effectively remove Li2CO3 and dramatically improve the interfacial properties.

Nanowires, nanostructures and devices fabricated therefrom
Arun Majumdar,Ali Shakouri,Timothy D. Sands,Peidong Yang,Samuel S. Mao,Richard E. Russo,Henning Feick,Eicke R. Weber,Hannes Kind,Michael H. Huang,Haoquan Yan,Yiying Wu,Rong Fan +12 more
TL;DR: One-dimensional nanostructures have uniform diameters of less than approximately 200 nm and are referred to as "nanowires" as mentioned in this paper, which include single-crystalline materials having different chemical compositions.
Journal ArticleDOI
Explosive change in crater properties during high power nanosecond laser ablation of silicon
TL;DR: In this article, the authors measured the resulting crater morphology with a white light interferometric microscope, showing that the craters show a strong nonlinear change in both the volume and depth when the laser irradiance is less than or greater than ≈ 2.2×1010
Journal ArticleDOI
Laser deposition of biaxially textured yttria‐stabilized zirconia buffer layers on polycrystalline metallic alloys for high critical current Y‐Ba‐Cu‐O thin films
TL;DR: In this paper, an ion beam assisted growth of yttria-stabilized zirconia (YSZ) layers on polycrystalline metallic alloy substrates is used to produce an intermediate layer for YBa2Cu3O7−δ (YBCO) thin film growth.
