Journal Article
Inhibition of human erythrocyte and leukocyte Na+, K(+)-pump activity by lysophosphatidylcholines.
TL;DR: LPCs containing lauroyl, the shortest fatty acid in this group, had the lowest inhibitory activity, while LPCs with intermediate chain length fatty acids such as caproyl and decanoyl had no effect.
Journal ArticleDOI
Influence of opioid antagonism on plasma catecholamines in pheochromocytoma patients.
TL;DR: The present study does not support the hypothesis that release of catecholamines from pheochromocytomas is inhibited by endogenous opioids, and use of opioid antagonists as a tool in the diagnosis of pheosocytoma therefore cannot be recommended.
Journal Article
Intraerythrocyte sodium concentration in black families with and without hypertension.
TL;DR: It can be concluded that parental hypertension in normotensive African blacks is associated with increased intraerythrocyte sodium concentration.
Journal ArticleDOI

Journal ArticleDOI
Humoral and cellular effects of the K(+)-channel activator cromakalim in man.
TL;DR: No effect of cromakalim on plasma angiotensin II, aldosterone, adrenaline, noradrenaline and α-atrial natriuretic peptide was demonstrated and the intra-erythrocyte K+ concentration was decreased and Ca2+-dependent K+-channels in red blood cells were increased.
