TL;DR: The annotation and analysis of the draft genome sequence of Brassica rapa accession Chiifu-401-42, a Chinese cabbage, and used Arabidopsis thaliana as an outgroup for investigating the consequences of genome triplication, such as structural and functional evolution.
Journal ArticleDOI
Development and linkage mapping of unigene-derived microsatellite markers in Brassica rapa L.
Yu Ge,Nirala Ramchiary,Tao Wang,Cui Liang,Na Wang,Zhe Wang,Su-Ryun Choi,Yong Pyo Lim,Zhong Yun Piao +8 more
TL;DR: The newly developed UGMS markers and linkage map in this study would help in future studies to better understand the organization and evolution of Brassica genomes with respect to unigenes, in addition to mapping, tagging and cloning of economically important trait QTL/gene(s) and marker-assisted breeding in Brassica crops.
Journal ArticleDOI
Genetic mapping and localization of quantitative trait loci for chlorophyll content in Chinese cabbage (Brassica rapa ssp. pekinensis)
Yu Ge,Yu Ge,Tao Wang,Na Wang,Zhe Wang,Cui Liang,Nirala Ramchiary,Su-Ryun Choi,Yong Pyo Lim,Zhong Yun Piao +9 more
TL;DR: Quantitative trait loci (QTL) mapping using thechlorophyll a and chlorophyll b phenotypic data from an F 2:3 mapping population over 2 years identified 10 QTL in 8 genetic intervals in the Chinese cabbage accounting for 7–17% of the observed phenotyping variation.
Journal ArticleDOI
Identification of accession-specific variants and development of KASP markers for assessing the genetic makeup of Brassica rapa seeds
Seong Gyun Hong,Su-Ryun Choi,Jihyeon Kim,Young-Min Jeong,Ju Sang Kim,Chun-Hee Ahn,Suk Yoon Kwon,Yong Pyo Lim,Ah-Young Shin,Yong-Min Kim +9 more
TL;DR: In this paper , Kompetitive allele specific PCR (KASP) markers were developed as accession-specific KASP markers to distinguish individuals from the mixture comprised of breeding lines and germplasms from the resequencing data of Chinese cabbage (Brassica rapa spp).
