TL;DR: In this article, high-resolution, H-band, imaging observations, collected with Subaru/HiCIAO, of the scattered light from the transitional disk around SAO 206462 (HD 135344B), reveal the presence of scattered light components as close as 0.2 (approx 28 AU).

TL;DR: The Subaru Coronagraphic Extreme Adaptive Optics (SCExAO) instrument as discussed by the authors is a multiband instrument which makes use of light from 600 to 2500 nm, allowing for coronagraphic direct exoplanet imaging of the inner 3λ/D from the stellar host.

TL;DR: In this article, high-resolution 1.6 μm polarized intensity (PI) images of the circumstellar disk around the Herbig Ae star AB Aur at a radial distance of 22 AU (015) up to 554 AU (385) were obtained by the high-contrast instrument HiCIAO with the dual-beam polarimetry.
