TL;DR: In this article, high-resolution, H-band, imaging observations, collected with Subaru/HiCIAO, of the scattered light from the transitional disk around SAO 206462 (HD 135344B), reveal the presence of scattered light components as close as 0.2 (approx 28 AU).

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors presented the first near-IR scattered light detection of the transitional disk associated with the Herbig Ae star MWC 758 using data obtained as part of the Strategic Exploration of Exoplanets and Disks with Subaru, and 1.1 {$μ$}m Hubble Space Telescope/NICMOS data.
Journal ArticleDOI
The 8-13 micron spectra of comets and the composition of silicate grains
TL;DR: In this article, the authors analyzed the existing spectra of seven comets which show an emission feature at 7.8-13 micrometers, indicative of small crystalline olivine particles.
Journal ArticleDOI
A New Probe of the Planet-forming Region in T Tauri Disks
Edwin A. Bergin,Nuria Calvet,Michael L. Sitko,Michael L. Sitko,Hervé Abgrall,Paola D'Alessio,Gregory J. Herczeg,Evelyne Roueff,Chunhua Qi,David K. Lynch,David K. Lynch,Ray W. Russell,Ray W. Russell,S. M. Brafford,S. M. Brafford,R. Brad Perry,R. Brad Perry +16 more
TL;DR: In this article, the spectral energy distribution (SED) of T Tauri stars selected on the basis of bright molecular disks (GM Aur, DM Tau, and LkCa 15) was analyzed and the presence of inner disk gaps with sizes of a few AU in each of these young stellar systems was found.

TL;DR: In this paper, the EPOXI spacecraft flyby of comet 103P/Hartley 2 was used to provide synergistic information for space mission encounters by providing data over longer timescales, at different wavelengths and using techniques that are impossible with an in situ flyby.
