Journal ArticleDOI

Dysidavarones A-D, new sesquiterpene quinones from the marine sponge Dysidea avara.

TL;DR: Four new sesquiterpene quinones possessing the unprecedented "dysidavarane" carbon skeleton were isolated from the South China Sea sponge Dysidea avara and their cytotoxic activity against four human cancer cell lines and PTP1B inhibitory activity were evaluated.
Journal ArticleDOI

Antipruritic and antinociceptive effects of Chenopodium album L in mice.

TL;DR: The ethanolic extract from the fruits of Chenopodium album L. (FCAL), orally administered at doses of 100-400 mg/kg, dose-dependently inhibited scratching behavior induced by 5-HT or compound 48/80 in mice and significantly attenuated the writhing responses induced by an intraperitoneal injection of acetic acid and the inflammatory pain response induced by a intraplantar injection of formalin in mice.
Journal ArticleDOI

Arenobufagin, a bufadienolide compound from toad venom, inhibits VEGF-mediated angiogenesis through suppression of VEGFR-2 signaling pathway.

TL;DR: It is shown that arenobufagin inhibited vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF)-induced viability, migration, invasion and tube formation in human umbilical vein endothelial cells (HUVECs) in vitro and blocked angiogenesis in an ex vivo model.
Journal ArticleDOI

Meroterpenoids with New Skeletons from Myrtus communis and Structure Revision of Myrtucommulone K

TL;DR: Five sesquiterpene-based meroterpenoids with three kinds of new skeletons, isolated from the leaves of Myrtus communis, featured a new carbon skeleton with an unprecedented octahydrospiro[bicyclo[7.0]undecane-2,2'-chromene] tetracyclic ring system.
