Journal ArticleDOI
Metal-organic framework with optimally selective xenon adsorption and separation.
Debasis Banerjee,Cory M. Simon,Anna M. Plonka,Radha Kishan Motkuri,Jian Liu,Xianyin Chen,Berend Smit,Berend Smit,John B. Parise,John B. Parise,Maciej Haranczyk,Praveen K. Thallapally +11 more
TL;DR: A high-throughput computational screening of large databases of metal–organic frameworks is carried out and it is affirm that SBMOF-1 exhibits by far the highest reported xenon adsorption capacity and a remarkable Xe/Kr selectivity under conditions pertinent to nuclear fuel reprocessing.
Journal ArticleDOI
Direct Observation of Xe and Kr Adsorption in a Xe-Selective Microporous Metal–Organic Framework
Xianyin Chen,Anna M. Plonka,Debasis Banerjee,Rajamani Krishna,Herbert T. Schaef,Sanjit Ghose,Praveen K. Thallapally,John B. Parise,John B. Parise +8 more
TL;DR: A new microporous MOF (designated SBMOF-2) that is selective toward Xe over Kr under ambient conditions, with a Xe/Kr selectivity of about 10 and aXe capacity and adsorption selectivity comparable to those of the best-performing unmodified MOFs such as Ni MOF-74 or Co formate.
Journal ArticleDOI
Iodine Adsorption in Metal Organic Frameworks in the Presence of Humidity
Debasis Banerjee,Xianyin Chen,Sergey S. Lobanov,Anna M. Plonka,Xiaojun Chan,John A. Daly,Taejin Kim,Praveen K. Thallapally,John B. Parise +8 more
TL;DR: The I2 adsorption capacity of two microporous metal organic frameworks at both dry and humid conditions is reported, which reveals distinct sorption sites of molecular I2 within the pores in proximity to the phenyl- and phenol-based linkers stabilized by the I···π and I··O interactions, which allow selective uptake of iodine.
Journal ArticleDOI
Light Hydrocarbon Adsorption Mechanisms in Two Calcium-Based Microporous Metal Organic Frameworks
Anna M. Plonka,Xianyin Chen,Hui Wang,Rajamani Krishna,Xinglong Dong,Debasis Banerjee,William R. Woerner,Yu Han,Jing Li,John B. Parise,John B. Parise +10 more
TL;DR: The adsorption mechanism of ethane, ethylene, and acetylene (C2Hn) on two microporous metal organic frameworks (MOFs) is described in this article.
Journal ArticleDOI
Highly active subnanometer Rh clusters derived from Rh-doped SrTiO3 for CO2 reduction
Binhang Yan,Binhang Yan,Qiyuan Wu,Jiajie Cen,Janis Timoshenko,Anatoly I. Frenkel,Anatoly I. Frenkel,Dong Su,Xianyin Chen,John B. Parise,Eric A. Stach,Alexander Orlov,Jingguang G. Chen,Jingguang G. Chen +13 more
TL;DR: In this article, the sub-nanometer Rh clusters derived from Rh-doped SrTiO3, demonstrated by in-situ X-ray Diffraction (XRD) and Xray Absorption Fine Structure (XAFS) measurements, are applied as highly active catalysts for CO2 reduction.
