TL;DR: Wang et al. as mentioned in this paper investigated whether the bitcoin exchange value and the public interest in it are predictable of the daily sales in the darknet markets in the future, and they found that the daily Bitcoin exchange value with one day lag are Granger causative of the sales, so does the daily searching frequency in Google with one, two, and three days lags.
Abstract: Darknet markets (DNM) and bitcoins are two emergent topics in the information field and have attracted much attention. However, few has explored them together. This study aims at understanding the relation between them. It is investigated that whether the bitcoin exchange value and the public interest in it are predictable of the daily sales in the darknet markets in the future. By applying the Granger‐causality analysis, we find that the daily bitcoin exchange value with one day lag are Granger causative of the sales, so does the daily searching frequency in Google with one, two, and three‐day(s) lags. From the linear regressions, we find that the increasing bitcoin price reduces the daily DNM sales, while the increasing public interest in bitcoins facilitate the sales. By understanding relation between the DNM sales and bitcoins, two emergent topics in information science, we can get some insights on how to monitor the activities in the DNM, especially those illegal transactions and can further extend to how to regulate the DNM.

TL;DR: Zhang et al. as discussed by the authors made quantitative analyses on the coordination conditions between environment and economy in China during the period of 1992 to 2010 and then calculated annual coordination degrees between environments and economy; subsequently, through the combination forecasting method based on the Induced Ordered Weighted Averaging (IOWA) operators, these small sample data are predicted; finally, according to results presented above, policy suggestions are given to achieve coordinated development of environment economy system of China in the future.
Abstract: Balance and coordination between environment and economy can promote the sustainable development of society. By using SBM model which considers non-desirable output and econometrical model on the coordination degree of environment economy system, the article makes quantitative analyses on the coordination conditions between environment and economy in China during the period of 1992 to 2010 and then calculates annual coordination degrees between environment and economy; subsequently, through the combination forecasting method based on the Induced Ordered Weighted Averaging (IOWA) operators, these small sample data are predicted; finally, according to results presented above, policy suggestions are given to achieve coordinated development of environment-economy system of China in the future.
