26 Aug 1998TL;DR: In this article, the gap in between two drums or belts that are used in a strip casting apparatus is controlled by a means to move either side of the drums in two planes, which enables the operator to control the gap to provide flexibility and increased performance during casting.
Abstract: A device to control the gap in between two drums or belts that are used in a strip casting apparatus. It comprises a means to move either side of the drums or belts in two planes. This ability enables the operator to control the gap to provide flexibility and increased performance during casting.

04 May 1987TL;DR: In this article, a system for continuously removing and transporting trimmed edge metal scrap material in the form of a indeterminate length of ribbon from a strip edge trimming or slitting station in a strip processing line to a final disposal station where the trimming station can be advantageously disposed in the path of travel of the strip being processed.
Abstract: A system for continuously removing and transporting trimmed edge metal scrap material in the form of a indeterminate length of ribbon from a strip edge trimming or slitting station in a strip processing line to a final disposal station wherein the trimming station can be advantageously disposed in the path of travel of the strip of metal being processed. In a preferred embodiment of the invention, the said system includes a curvilinear enclosed conveyor means, one open end of which is disposed in the area of the trimming station and the other open end of which is disposed adjacent to the disposal station for continuously capturing the trimmed edge metal scrap material from the trimming station as it is cut from the moving strip of metal and then directing it to the disposal station at the proper rate of speed. The conveyor means is advantageously provided with linear accelerator components which act in conjunction with the trimmed scrap material for propelling the trimmed scrap material in a substantially noiseless fashion to the final disposal station which in one advantageous embodiment of the invention can comprise a melting furnace.

17 Oct 1995TL;DR: In this article, an aluminum brazing alloy composite sheet is provided which can be utilized in both the vacuum brazings process and the controlled atmosphere brazening process for the brazed of aluminum parts, which consists of an aluminum core alloy of the 3XXX, 5XXX or 6XXX type clad at least on one major surface with a lithium-containing aluminum filler alloy.
Abstract: An aluminum brazing alloy composite sheet is provided which can be utilized in both the vacuum brazing process and the controlled atmosphere brazing process for the brazing of aluminum parts, The brazing alloy composite sheet consists of an aluminum core alloy of the 3XXX, 5XXX or 6XXX type clad at least on one major surface with a lithium-containing aluminum filler alloy containing from about 0.01% to about 0.30% by weight lithium, The core alloy may contain up to about 2% by weight magnesium and is suitable for producing aluminum alloy heat exchanger assemblies, such as radiators or evaporators,

19 Aug 1969TL;DR: In this paper, two levels of indices are used to locate each data record, a ten word or eighty character block of data, a single high level index tag refers to one of a plurality of secondary level index tags which, in turn, refer to the data record.
Abstract: A method of arranging digital data so that it may be most efficiently located and read out. Two levels of indices are used to locate each data record, a ten word or eighty character block of data. A single high level index tag refers to one of a plurality of secondary level index tags which, in turn, refer to the data record. The block containing the high level index tag also contains various file information.
