TL;DR: Essential oil of V. agnus-castus could be suggested as a potential source of bioagents for prokaryotic and eukaryotic organisms in concern and in the antimicrobial assays, essential oil was more active on yeast species and gram positive bacteria.
Abstract: Essential oil of Vitex agnus-castus’ leaves was analysed GC and GC-MS. The oil was predominantly rich in 1,8-cineole (24.38 %), sabinene (22.77 %), trans-β-farnesene (8.50 %), α-pinene (7.14 %), β-caryophyllene (6.49 %) and 1-terpinen-4-ol (5.23 %). In the phytotoxicity assay, the highest concentration of the oil (40 µL) completely inhibited the germinations of Lactuca sativa and Lepidium sativum. In the antimicrobial assays, essential oil was more active on yeast species and gram positive bacteria. The results of the insecticidal assays were also significant as the mortalities were 70 % and 96.67 % on Acanthoscelides obtectus and Tribolium castaneum at 34 µL L-1 and 136 µL L-1 oil (24 h), respectively. Essential oil of V. agnus-castus could be suggested as a potential source of bioagents for prokaryotic and eukaryotic organisms in concern.

TL;DR: In this paper, the exact natural frequencies of functionally graded beams are determined using plane elasticity theory and a comparison with the existing beam theory results is performed and a close agreement is observed for slender members.
Abstract: Exact natural frequencies of functionally graded beams are determined using plane elasticity theory. The analysis yields infinitely many frequencies. For verification purposes, a comparison with the existing beam theory results is performed and a close agreement is observed for slender members. The elasticity solutions are general in the sense that they are valid for slender members as well as short and thick structural elements. Both flexural and axial free vibration mode shapes are presented for top and bottom surfaces and the effect of the beam thickness is discussed. The exact results presented herein can be used as benchmarks for future research of free vibration behavior of short and thick functionally graded material beams.

TL;DR: In this article, the role of human resource management (HRM) practices, job satisfaction and organizational commitment intentions of employees working in Turkish private organizations was explored. And the results indicated that there is a positive relationship between HRM practices (recruitment and selection, training and development, compensation and benefits, performance appraisals) and job satisfaction.
Abstract: The purpose of this study is to explore the role of human resource management (HRM) practices, job satisfaction and organizational commitment intentions of employees working in Turkish private organizations. A total of 200 employees participated in the study. The results indicate that there is a positive relationship between HRM practices (recruitment and selection, training and development, compensation and benefits, performance appraisals) and job satisfaction and organizational commitment. The sub factor compensation and benefits are the most important factors which affect the job satisfaction and organizational commitment.

TL;DR: In this article, a poly-6amino-m-cresol (poly-AmC) was electrochemically synthesized on mild steel (MS) surface from 0.3m ammonium oxalate solution containing 0.005m 6amino m cresol using cyclic voltammetry technique.
Abstract: Poly-6-amino-m-cresol (poly-AmC) was electrochemically synthesized on mild steel (MS) surface from 0.3 M aqueous ammonium oxalate solution containing 0.005 M 6-amino-m-cresol (AmC) using cyclic voltammetry technique. The synthesized film was modified by electrodeposition of a small amount of copper on top of the polymer surface from a copper deposition bath. Corrosion behaviors of both modified and nonmodified polymer films were investigated in 3.5% NaCl solution using anodic polarization curves, change of open circuit potential with immersion time ( E ocp –t) and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) techniques over 120 h. It was shown that, the electrodeposition of copper on top of the polymer surface improves the corrosion performance of the polymer film and gives a better corrosion protection by exhibiting a better barrier effect against the attack of corrosive environment.
