TL;DR: In this paper, the U1 approximation is used to determine the diffusion length for one-speed neutrons in a homogeneous slab, based on the series expansion of the neutron angular flux in terms of the Chebyshev polynomials of second kind.
Abstract: The U1 approximation is used to determine the asymptotic relaxation length (diffusion length) for one-speed neutrons in a homogeneous slab. The method is based on the series expansion of the neutron angular flux in terms of the Chebyshev polynomials of second kind and then calculating the diffusion length by applying the first order approximation to transport equation. Analytic and numerical results are obtained for the diffusion length and compared with the ones obtained from the method of separation of variables and simple diffusion theory (P1 approximation).

TL;DR: In this article, the first order approximation of the Legendre and Chebyshev polynomials is applied to calculate the diffusion length for one-speed neutrons in a uniform homogeneous slab.
Abstract: The first order approximations of the Legendre and Chebyshev polynomials are applied to neutron transport equation to calculate the diffusion length for one-speed neutrons in a uniform homogeneous slab. The Anli-Gungor (AG) phase function is used for the scattering kernel. Analytic and numerical results are obtained for the diffusion length of the neutrons in terms of scattering parameters of AG phase function and cross-section parameters. The numerical results for certain scattering parameters of AG phase function and selected values of cross-section parameter from first order approximations of both Legendre and Chebyshev polynomials are tabulated in the tables for comparison.

TL;DR: In this article, the effect of Sn diffusion at different annealing temperature on the Bi1.8Pb0.4Sr2.0Ca2.1Cu3.0Oy superconducting materials is performed with the aid of Vickers microhardness (H v ) measurements at different applied loads in the range of 0.245-2.940 n.
Abstract: The effect of Sn diffusion at different annealing temperature on the Bi1.8Pb0.4Sr2.0Ca2.1Cu3.0Oy superconducting materials is performed with the aid of Vickers microhardness (H v ) measurements at different applied loads in the range of 0.245–2.940 N. The measurement results observed show that all the samples exhibit typical indentation size effect behavior, meaning that both the elastic and plastic deformations play dominant role on the inorganic structures owing to the presence of the elastic recovery. Likewise, the mechanical characteristics increase with the Sn additives as a consequence of improvement of the local structural distortions and boundary weak-links between the grains. Furthermore, the increased Sn inclusions in the crystal lattice make the cracks propagate slower than before. This may be related to the fact that the Sn particles prefer to accumulate throughout the grain boundaries (defect locations) similar to the propagation of the cracks in the materials. In other words, the ductility (nondirectional interactions) of the ceramics tends to improve with the increment in the Sn concentration level in the crystal lattice as a consequence of the enhancement of the tensile strength, fracture toughness and especially Griffith critical crack length values. Hence, the mechanical flexibility takes place rapidly in the crystal structure. Moreover, the hardness measurements allow us to discuss the load dependent and independent microhardness, elastic modulus, yield strength and fracture toughness parameters. At the same time, the experimental data of the Vickers hardness are studied by the available models regarding Meyer’s law, proportional sample resistance model, elastic–plastic deformation model and Hays–Kendall (HK) approach for the first time. According to the results obtained, the load dependence of Vickers microhardness is fitted with the HK approach rather than the other methods. Based on the electrical and superconducting results observed before, it is to be mentioned here that the significant improvement of electrical performance may contribute to enhancement in mechanical characteristics.

TL;DR: In this article, the influence of the PESTEL dimensions (political, economic, social, technological, environmental and legal) on the tourism sector in Mugla, Turkey has been investigated.
Abstract: The scope of the present study is to estimate the influence of the PESTEL dimensions (political, economic, social, technological, environmental and legal) on the tourism sector in Mugla, Turkey. For this purpose, a research has been carried out on the top managers of three, four and five-star hotels operating in Mugla, Turkey. The datum provided from 150 business top managers have been included to the analysis of the research. As a result of the analysis done, legal factors (consumer and labor law) were estimated by the participant managers as the most important whereas social factors (demographic structure of the population and cultural attitudes) were of the least importance for the development of tourism sector in Mugla, Turkey. Another result was that more educated participants gave greater importance to all these factors than their less educated counterparts.

TL;DR: It is suggested that high level organizational socialization supports organizational citizenship behavior in primary and secondary school teachers, and there was no relationship between the organizational goals and values and OCB.
Abstract: Objective The aim of the present study is to investigate the effects of organizational socialization levels of employees on organizational citizenship behavior (OCB). Participants A total of 185 (70 female, 115 male) teachers were sampled at 27 primary and secondary schools. Their ages ranged from 23 to 55 years, with a mean (SD) of 36 (5.1). In this sample, 100 (54.1%) worked in primary schools, and 85 (45.9%) worked in secondary schools. Methods A three-part questionnaire was designed for the study. The research scales were self-report measures of organizational socialization, OCB, and demographic variables. The hypothesized model was tested using Pearson correlation analyses and multiple regression analyses. Results The teachers demonstrated high level socialization (Mean 4.2, SD 0.7) and OCB (Mean 4.0, SD 0.54). Understanding, coworker support, and performance proficiency explained significant variance in organizational citizenship behavior; however, there was no relationship (p=0.286) between the organizational goals and values and OCB. Conclusions The findings contribute to our understanding of the relationship between the level of organizational socialization and organizational citizenship behavior in educational settings. These findings suggest that high level organizational socialization supports organizational citizenship behavior in primary and secondary school teachers.
